Avengers Infinity War: Two types of death and one is FINAL – No way back for FOUR heroes

Thanos hasn’t just demanded our silence.

The Mad Titan has rampaged across cinema screens bringing death and destruction on a scale nobody was prepared for.

Fans were warned that there would be causalties, but the sheer numbers of fallen characters has left audiences in tears.

Crucially, though, there are two very different ways to die in Infinity War. It’s almost certain one way can be reversed in Avengers 4. The bad news is the other way signals the final end for some of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most beloved characters.

WARNING MAJOR SPOILERS

The movie was released in the UK earlier this week and finally opened in the US today but do not read before the point if you have not seen it yet.

As expected, Avengers 3 ended with the heartbreaking ending of half of all life in the universe. Thanos finally got his wish and used the Infinity Gauntlet for The Snap.

Audiences watched in horror as everyone from Bucky Barnes and Star-Lord to Teenage Groot and Spider-Man faded away to dust.

It is likey anyone who died this way will somehow be saved. It is the others we are far more worried about.

Everyone left living seemd to be part of the very original Avengers line-up of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow and Hulk.

It was clear that almost everyone who died in the Snap is part of the current crossover into Phase 4 of the MCU. Spider-Man, Black Panther, The Guardians of the Galaxy and Doctor Strange are all expected to headline furher movies. Bucky may well cross into the Black Panther franchise.

The four characters who were killed at the hands of Thanos and his Black Order are the ones who may never be seen again.

Loki and Vision were both brutally kiled by Thanos, with Heimdall dispached by the Black Order.

With or without the Mind Stone, Scarlet Wich’s magic or Shuri’s techo wizardry it is hard to see how Vision can come back or what form he could take.

Heimdall was never a major character and the entire Asgard storyline seems to be over.

Loki has come back from apparent death before but there were no tricks or ilusions this time and even Thanos warned there would be “no resurrection.”

Loki has had a full story arc and it makes sense that he shoudl go out on a noble high.

Also, if every death from Infinity War is reversed it risks makin the whole movie redundant. Some characters surely have to remain dead?

Which leaves Gamora, integral part of an ongoing franchise.

Killed at the hands of her ‘father’ long before the final scene, any future use of the Infinity Gautlet’s Time Stone to reverse events would have to take in a far larger, impossible chunk of time to bring her back. Tis woudl disrupt far too many events.

Is Gamora really gone? It will break Peter Quill and the audience’s hearts but may be a necessary evil to maintain the integrity of the story and its emotional power.

AVENGES INFINITY WAR IS OUT NOW. AVENGERS 4 IS OUT ON APRIL 26, 2019
