Ivanka Trump news: Ivanka rocks £1,500 blazer as dad signs Women Empowerment Act
Ivanka Trump, 37, returned to her Instagram account on Wednesday, to celebrate the new legislation of the Women’s Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment Act. Sharing a photo of the moment her father Donald Trump, 72, passed the legislation, Ivanka looked thrilled with the news. For the special occasion, Ivanka ditched her typically favoured dresses and midi skirts and instead wore a power suit. Teaming a chic blazer with a pair of matching black jeans, Ivanka looked sensational.
Ivanka stayed silent on Instagram over Christmas and New Year but was back with positive news to share upon her social media return.
On Wednesday the daughter and advisor to President Donald Trump revealed her father has signed the Women’s Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment Act.
Marking the occasion with an official portrait alongside her dad, Ivanka chose to wear a formal tailored blazer for the photo.
The blazer appeared to be a Balmain number, costing a staggering £1,510.
Ivanka looked incredibly chic in the ensemble, proving she meant business in the all-black outfit.
The double-breasted blazer featured large gold buttons with intricate detailing, which the mother of one chose to fasten over a crisp white shirt.
The 37 year old let her white blouse remain visible beneath her blazer, effortlessly undoing the top buttons to show off the luxurious silk scarf around her neck.
Ivanka looked thrilled at the political milestone her father had signed, grinning as he wrote his signature on the legislation.
Wearing her blonde locks in their trademark straight style, the daughter of the President looked as glamorous as always.
She kept her makeup to natural colours, opting for a pretty nude lip and just a hint of bronzer.
With subtly smokey eye makeup and lashings of mascara, Ivanka certainly stood out as she posed alongside the other members of the government.
Sharing the official portrait on Instagram with her 4.7 million followers, Ivanka also uploaded a picture of herself with the group of women she worked alongside to pass the bill.
In the snap, Ivanka cut a more relaxed figure in a navy dress adorned with yellow flowers.
The wife of Jared Kushner beamed in the photo, holding her thumbs up to the camera.
She wrote in the caption: “With today’s signing of the bipartisan Women’s Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment Act, we are taking robust action to advance economic opportunities for women and increase prosperity and stability around the world.
“Thank you to the many Members of Congress, NGOs and USAID who worked tirelessly with us on this transformative legislation. #WEEEAct.”
The Instagram upload comes after it emerged the President’s advisor could have taken a very different career path.
In an unearthed interview, Ivanka revealed that she had been offered another chance to star on TV.
In fact, she was given the opportunity to appear in the reality TV show The Bachelorette.
However, she decided not to pursue a stint on the dating game show.
Declining the offer, Ivanka, who was thought to be single at the time, explained that she didn’t feel like it fell in line with her career objectives.
And, the advisor went on to unveil that her ambition for the future was to become a real estate developer – which, considering her current job, could come as a surprise to some.
