Meghan Markle, 36, dazzled in a belted cream dress with cape detail from Givenchy today in Chester.

Queen Elizabeth, 92, invited the former actress to accompany her on a royal trip to open the Mersey Gateway Bridge and Storehouse theatre in Cheshire.

Today saw the newlywed attend her first solo engagement without husband Prince Harry, who she married at Windsor Castle last month.

The Duchess of Sussex looked impeccable as she stepped off the Royal Train wearing a cream dress from the designer behind her beautiful wedding gown.

Look through this gallery to see Meghan’s royal style today and over the last year.

Pictures show the Duchess at the 2017 Invictus Games and on the announcement of her engagement to Prince Harry at Kensington Palace.

You will also see recent photos of Prince Harry’s wife attending a Buckingham Palace Garden Party and on the balcony for Trooping the Colour, the annual event marking the Queen’s birthday.
