Thrifty Duchess! Kate BEAMS as she re-wears favourite £475 boots on visit to charity farm

Kate, 35, stepped out in a pair of long tassel boots, £475, by Penelope Chilvers.

She has worn the boots on a number of occasions over the years, first donning them at the Game Fair at Blenheim Palace in August 2004.

She paired these with a wax parka in khaki green, £350, by Troy London, and a pair of skinny jeans.

A navy jumper and blue gingham shirt could be seen peeking out from underneath the parka.

Kate kept her make-up simple for the visit, which saw her chatting with a group of school pupils and teachers at the farm in Arlingham.

The charity works to give urban children the chance to experience a real-life working farm.

Young people from inner city schools spend a week learning about farming, the countryside and food production in a practical, hands-on way.

The Duchess learned about what happens at the farm before joining a story-time session led by children’s author Michael Morpurgo, who founded the charity with his wife Clare in 1976.

She was then joined by the children as they completed work around the farm yard, working in the allotments and tending to pigs, sheep and chickens, before a short tea party rounds the visit off.

Farms for City Children, which now has three working farms in Devon, Wales, and Gloucestershire, welcomes around 3,200 children and 400 teachers a year.

During a visit to Cornwall in September last year, Kate confided to a young farmer that she would love to give farming a go.
