Crown Princess Mary of Denmark wears Kate Middleton’s favourite print in Copenhagen

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark was seen in the country’s capital today.

The stunning brunette, 36, is ten years Kate Middleton’s junior.

However, she is often compared to the Duchess of Cambridge.

Today the mother-of-four appeared to channel Kate Middleton, wearing Prince William’s wife’s favourite pattern.

Mary looked chic in a red, black and white check jacket.

The number had bracelet length sleeves and a round neckline.

Fashionable Princess Mary paired it with smart wide-legged trousers and a black roll neck jumper.

She carried a small black leather clutch bag and wore leather gloves.

A silver necklace with a circular pendant hung from her neck.

Brilliant round diamond studs hung from the royal’s pierced ears.

Mary was at the “Danske Taler” Awards in Kopenhagen, Denmark.

The look was reminiscent of Kate Middleton, who is a big fan of a check.

She most recently was spotted wearing a £130 check coat from Zara in London.

Kate and Mary have more than just their taste in clothes in common.

Both women come from non-royal backgrounds.

Mary met her husband Frederik, Crown Prince of Denmark in a pub during the 2000 Summer Olympics in September in Sydney.

Could she snub her family to spend the annual holiday with the Queen again? 

Each year the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge join the festivities on the Sandringham Estate, which involves their traditional visit to St Mary Magdalene Church for the Christmas Day service alongside the Queen, before heading back for a Christmas lunch.
