Melania Trump spokeswoman REVEALS rare insight into First Lady and Donald Trump's marriage
Melania, who rarely makes public appearances, has been promoting her ‘Be Best’ initiative. The project aims to engender positivity and tackle bullying among children. The First Lady visited Oklahoma, Washington and Nevada this week to raise the campaign’s profile.
On Friday Melania also celebrated International Women’s Day in Washington D.C. after the Be Best three-state tour.
She also flew to Alabama with her husband to witness the destruction caused by a devastating tornado and meet bereaved families there after 23 people died as a result of the ferocious weather event.
Shocked by what he witnessed President Trump said: “We saw things that you wouldn’t believe.”
Following the week’s action-packed schedule, Stephanie Grisham, Melania’s spokeswoman and press secretary, lambasted the way the First Lady’s Be Best efforts have been covered in the media.

Ms Grisham used her intervention to suggest the anti-bullying initiative was often overshadowed by the news of the day coming from the White House.
She also shed light on the enigmatic relationship between the First Lady and the US President, explaining Melania is not afraid to speak her mind and be honest when she does not agree with her husband.
She said: “She does not control what he does, he does not control what she does, I think that is something to be celebrated.”
Of White House critics, Ms Grisham told Inside Edition: “It’s almost like they want the administration to fail.
“So they are refusing to cover the really good work the president and the first lady are doing.”
Ms Grisham went on to argue negative press “does not” affect her boss.

She said: “I get angrier than she does.”
Explaining the core tenets of Melania’s Be Best project, Ms Grisham said: “It’s got three pillars,” adding they were the well-being of children, social media and online safety, and opioid abuse.
Last weekend Ms Grisham was challenged on US television network CNN on how the First Lady manages to balance the positive intentions of her Be Best campaign with the often incendiary way her husband conducts himself.
Questioning Melania’s spokeswoman on how the First Lady “balances her platform against some of the things that the President does”, a CNN news host said: “Her message is so important, it is so applicable to every family today.
“And yet there are people who think her husband is one of the biggest violators of some of the things she is talking about, in terms of respecting each other and not calling each other names, and not bullying.
“How does she balance her platform against some of the things that the President does?”
Ms Grisham responded: “I think that honestly one thing doesn’t really have anything to do with the other.
“And she is focussed on helping children.
“She has said many times that her husband is an adult, he is the President of the United States and he knows what he is doing.
“And she is focussed on Be Best. She is focussed on helping children.
“Children are the ones who are impressionable right now and she is going to do the best she can to help them succeed.”
