Grand National 2019: WORST dressed includes flamingo headdress and wardrobe malfunctions

Grand National 2019 is underway today at Aintree.

Horses and jockeys will take on the track, risking life and limb, to entertain punters.

Today is Ladies Day, meaning women were wearing their best to revel in the sport.

One woman wore an incredibly eye-catching hat to the meet.

The hat in question took the form of a fascinator, in the image of one of the world’s most recognisable birds.

The pink creature appeared to be sat atop the woman’s head.

Bright pink feather imitate the plumage of the animals, which are notably turned pink due the shrimp they eat in their native habit.

Another woman was also inspired by the animal kingdom, wearing a leopard print dress. Unfortunately she appeared to have to hold the skirt down in the wind.

One woman failed to hit a stylish note in a tangerine shorts and suit jacket combination, while another woman’s gold and turquoise ensemble was too much.

Wearing a red dress with voluminous sleeves and heavy make-up, looking like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, although on Sunset Boulevard rather than at the races.

However, there were a number of women who looked lovely at Grand National 2019 Ladies Day. 

One guest paired her outfit with a pair of snakeskin printed heels, and the other kept it simple with black heeled sandals.

As Ladies Day continues, men and women continue to put on their best frocks to turn up.

Yesterday, the Grand National 2019 kicked off with the festival, and many guests braved the cold and windy weather to slip into summer dresses for the event.
