Meat Loaf SHOCK: Bat Out Of Hell star breaks his collarbone after falling off stage

The 71-year-old had a nasty fall over the weekend, after tripping over some loose wires in Texas. Meat Loaf was taking part in a Q&A session at Texas Frightmare Weekend when the incident occurred, as seen in the video below. According to TMZ, the Bat Out Of Hell singer was taken to hospital and kept in overnight where he was treated for a broken collarbone. Eyewitness claim Meat Loaf refused to give up the mic before thanking his fans.

He added: “I don’t think running around the stage, rolls and flips and jumps, I don’t think that helped. But that wasn’t the reason.”

Meat Loaf had collapsed on stage that summer, having felt unwell at a concert in Edmonton, Canada.

He said: “We were into the encore, we had one more encore to go, and I started feeling dizzy and I said, ‘well I don’t wanna fall, I don’t know what direction’, so I thought I’d just finish the song sitting down. 

“And as i was going down, I just went out. It was from dehydration. They kept me in the hospital for 10 hours doing all these tests.”
