Maurizio Sarri wants to take ONE Chelsea player with him to Juventus – EXCLUSIVE

The Blues are locked in talks with Sarri and Juventus after he made it clear that he wants to return to Italy after only one season in West London.

The Italian guided Chelsea to finish third in the Premier League and won the Europa League as well as reaching the League Cup Final.

Chelsea are demanding £5 million compensation for the final year of his contract which Juventus are reluctant to pay with more discussions planned for this week.

Sarri will then try and persuade Chelsea to sell him Italian international left back Emerson Palmieri even though they are unlikely to let him leave.

Marcos Alonso is becoming unsettled under Sarri and Atletico Madrid are ready to offer him an escape route back to his native Spain despite his wages being a stumbling block.

But a spate of sales means that they are now more confident of doing a deal which will almost certainly block any hopes that Sarri has of landing Palmieri.

Sarri could be leaving after just one season after failing to convince Chelsea fans he’s the man to take them forward despite a successful end to the campaign.

He suggested he would be better off leaving last week if his future would be decided by whether he won or lost the Europa League final.

“If the situation is like this I want to go immediately,” said Sarri before the win over Arsenal.

“You cannot do 10 months of work and then I have to play for everything in 90 minutes.

“It’s not the right way. You’re either happy about my work or you’re not happy.”

Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move for Frank Lampard if Sarri does leave or is sacked.

The former midfielder guided Derby to the play-off final, where they were beaten by Aston Villa, in his first season in management.
