Murena hold again. Not much rallies in this match as of yet and it’s finely poised in the first set.

Not sure if ‘Murena’ are going to find a way past their opponents on Martin’s serve.

But the best point of the match by far at the end as both sets of players somehow keep it alive until Williams drops one into the net.

Couple of errors give Martin and Atawo a small window to bring up deuce, but the latter sends her return from a Murray serve into the net. No break point opportunities for either pairing yet.

Martin almost stepping on his team-mate’s toes before smashing a volley into the bottom right corner past Murray to make it 30-0.

Nothing is getting past the 6’5 Frenchman at the moment. Love-service game.

Not the fast-paced start of their opening mixed doubles match, but similarly in control.

Murray with an out-stretched volley at the net to hold serve.

Martin serve causing all sorts of problems for ‘Murena’. Neither Andy or Serena able to get a solid return in to get a rally going.

Solid start for ‘Murena’ (I’m sticking with that the whole time for Andy and Serena now) to go 40-0 up.

Martin with back-to-back impressive points to cut the deficit, but Williams wins the point with a ferocious volley at the feet of the Frenchman. She holds her hands up apologising profusely for that.

5:50pm: A case of little and large on the opposing side of the court to Murray and Williams. Fabrice Martin standing at a daunting 6’5 while Raquel Atawo is a foot smaller!

5:45pm: Players now coming out on court. Centre Court is barely even half full for this surprisingly. A chance to see Andy Murray AND Serena Williams on the same court? Why miss it?

5:28pm: It’s over for Konta! The last Brit standing in the singles is out. She will be bitterly disappointed with the 34 unforced errors. Konta just couldn’t get it going and misses out on semi-final clash with Serena Williams.

But there is still hope for a Brit to make it through to the latter stages of Wimbledon with none other than Andy Murray about to take to Centre Court.
