James Bond: No Time To Die 'secrecy' REVEALED as bosses get sneaky about spoilers
James Bond favourite Daniel Craig will be back for a final outing as 007 in No Time To Die next spring, but information on the storyline is scarce.
According to The Mirror, director Cary Joji Fukunaga has developed a sneaky strategy to keep spoilers from leaking: shoot three different versions of the ending.
A source told the publication No Time To Die shot a scene involving people being gassed on a dance floor last week, but that Fukunaga wants to prevent the climax from getting out.
“Everyone’s in the dark, the secrecy is off the chart,” an insider said.
One source also claimed, boldly, that Bond could be killed off and replaced by a woman.
It’s thought newcomer Lashana Lynch is set to take up the mantle of 007 — but not the character — as Bond starts the movie in retirement.
He is set to have left MI6 for a “tranquil life in Jamaica”, according to the official synopsis, but the quiet life is, of course, short-lived.
The spy is dragged back into the industry when his old friend Felix Leiter (played by Jeffrey Wright) from the CIA turns up to ask for his help.
Soon, Bond is on a mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist and up against a mysterious villain in possession of dangerous cutting edge technology.
JAMES BOND: NO TIME TO DIE TO FACE VERY UNEXPECTED SHAKE-UP?
Craig will be retiring from the role of Bond himself after his fifth film, No Time To Die.
He first played the iconic character in Casino Royale back in 2006 and recently surpassed Sir Roger Moore as the longest-serving Bond.
Also starring in No Time To Die are Léa Seydoux, Ana de Armas, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes and Ben Wishaw.
Elsewhere, the new Bond could be in for an unexpected shake-up if Liam Gallagher gets his way.
The former Oasis star revealed he has his sights set on doing the song for the upcoming movie during a recent interview on Irish radio station Today FM.
“The new James Bond one, it’s all about dying, innit?” he said, before launching into some potential lyrics.
“Die not next week, can’t be a***ed dying today, might die f***ing next month — there’s a lot of death going on,” he riffed.
“But you know, they can give us a call. Why not?” he added.
Following Gallagher’s comments, bookies slashed their odds on the Beady Eye hitmaker getting the job, with Ladbrokes pricing him at 3-1.
No Time To Die will arrive in UK cinemas April 3 2020.
