James Bond: Daniel Craig SPEAKS OUT on directing rumours and if he’s really done with 007

The 51-year-old star is supposedly done with playing James Bond after next year’s No Time To Die. But according to Daily Mail’s 007 source, Barbara Broccoli wants Daniel Craig to direct the next actor to take up the Licence to Kill.

The insider alleged: “He is determined to go out in style.

“He hired Phoebe and he’s been closely involved in every aspect of this film, from the script to the development of the characters. 

“Barbara has been vocal in her support of him and would love him to return to direct the next one.

“Daniel is so in tune with the character and has been saying Bond has to grow and change to fit the times.”

Craig added: “And then after two hours of sleep, you have to go back up to the set. No thanks!”

Asked what he does after getting home from a long movie shoot, Craig said he goes on holiday.

The star enthused: “My favourite thing is to just lie down on the beach and do nothing. 

“I turned off Bond three weeks ago. On a Friday evening. And on Monday I lay in the sand.”

Asked if he really was done with playing Bond, Craig added: “Yes! In the future, someone else has to do it!”

But the actor currently doesn’t have anything next on his wish list of future projects.

He said: “I have none. 

“I’m in the happy situation, where I’m sent many scripts and am offered quite different roles. My only plan is to work with good and nice people.”
