Deepika Padukone exciting news: xXx star for HUGE all-girl action blockbuster next?

She is already the highest-paid female star in Bollywood. Her upcoming diary is accordingly busy with a range of exciting new films lined up, including the imminent Chhapaak. Fans are still mourning her exit from plans for the remake of Satte Pe Satta, the Hindi version of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. However, another massive blockbuster could be on the horizon.

Deepika is best known in Hollywood for starring in the high-octane Xander Cage xXx action-thriller franchise. She looks very impressive in our clip from the movie. However, back home she has starred in a series of lavish historical epics and other dramas and comedies.

Is it time for her to flex her action hero muscles in Bollywood? With a background in competitive badminton she certainly has the fitness and strength.

Now, fellow Bollywood beauty and bonafide action legend Rani Mukerji has dropped a bombshell.

The actress is currently busy promoting her upcoming cop action drama, Mardaani 2, the sequel to 2014 hit Mardaani.

Mukerji has started a major Bollywood sensation with her talk of a home-grown version of one of Hollywood’s biggest and best love female action films.

She told ZoomTV.com: “We could do Charlie’s Angels. You know there is a shorter one in the film, I can be that one.”

And who does she mean by “we”?

They might not want to look too closely at the current Hollywood remake, however.

A brand new version of the classic romp has bombed at box offices across the globe.

Directed by Elizabeth Banks, it stars Twilight’s Kristen Stewart and was one of the most highly anticipated movies of the year.

Instead, it has been panned by critics and avoided by audiences. So far, the movie has only taken $30million worldwide after ten days, on a budget of $43.5million.
