Elsewhere, Express.co.uk’s poll found a number of the most critically well-received Marvel films close behind Endgame.

The first Iron Man, which kicked off Phase One back in 2008, got 12 per cent, while Captain America: The Winter Solider got 10 per cent.

Close behind were Avengers: Infinity War, Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor: Ragnarok, which each received nine per cent of the votes.
