James Bond odds: 'UNANIMOUS' favourite to replace Daniel Craig – Bad news for Tom Hardy
In just a few months James Bond will see the end of an era. The modern reinvention of the super-secret agent under Daniel Craig brought critical acclaim and smashed box office records. It may be No Time To Die, but it’ s finally time to say goodbye. The race to replace Craig has been hard-fought and there are now three Scottish contenders, with one the “unanimous” favourite with punters.
It’s no longer Richard Madden, who had seemed a real certainty when he was riding high on The Bodyguard and Game of Thrones.
Although he still remains massively in contention, alongside perennial favourite Tom Hiddleston – who has displayed impressive staying power while others like To Hardy and Idris Elba have begun to slip back.
Nor is it fellow Scott Jack Lowden who is a recent addition to the pack.
The new favourite towers over all of them, literally, at a strapping 6ft 3′ tall.

James Bond 25 odds: Strapping Sam Heughan is favourite to replace Daniel Craig
Sam Heughan may not be a household name yet, like many others on the list.
His most famous role remains on Outlander, which has a large and devoted fanbase but has not quite crossed over to major mainstream awareness.
However, the 39-year-old has the looks, the build and the leading man charisma.
And UK bookies Coral report a “flurry” of bets on the beefy star.
James Bond 25 odds: Who will replace Daniel Craig
A spokesperson said: “It has been one-way traffic for Sam Heughan in our next James Bond betting.
“Punters seem to unanimously agree that the Outlander actor is the best man for the job to replace Daniel Craig as 007.”
Coral, alongside Ladbrokes, have Heughan at an impressive 5-2 odds. Both bookies also have Madden in second place on 5-1.

Coral also has Tom Hiddleston and James Norton vying with Madden on 5-1.
After that its a drop back to 8-1 for Michael Fassbender and Tom Hardy, with Jack Lowden, Idris Elba and Jamie Bell on 10-1.
Former frontrunner Aidan Turner has fallen way behind on 12-1.
After such intense speculation and interests, Heughan, himself, has finally spoken out about taking over the iconic role.
Speaking on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Heughan reacted to his increased profile in the race.
He said: “I can reveal right now that I’m not James Bond, no. I’m still waiting for the call.” However, this is not an outright end to the idea since he added: “I haven’t been told that I’m not.”
Heughan is also excited at the =dea that another Scott would take over, to follow in the iconic footsteps of Sean Connery.
He said: “Ian Fleming he had a lot of Scottish ties. I think it would be definitely time for another Scottish Bond.”
