Lethal Weapon 5 CONFIRMED: Mel Gibson and Danny Glover set for ‘AMAZING last movie’
It’s been 22 years since Lethal Weapon 4 hit cinemas, not to mention 33 years since the buddy cop action original. There have been rumours over the last few years that a Lethal Weapon 5 will finally get made and now producer Dan Lin has confirmed the sequel is going ahead. He made the reveal during a Hollywood Reporter Producers Roundtable.
A couple of years ago, Gibson confirmed he turned down playing James Bond after Roger Moore.
Appearing on The Graham Norton show, the actor revealed: “I was asked in my 20s, but I just didn’t want to do it.”
Even though he would have turned it down, it’s rumoured producer Cubby Broccoli wanted Bond to stay British.
In the end, the role went to Timothy Dalton, who starred in 1987’s The Living Daylights – the original gritty Bond, even before Daniel Craig.
