Accompanied by Eugenia’s husband, Jack Brooksbank, mother and daughter were seen driving through London last week on their delivery runs. The care packages contained food, such as dried pasta, pasta sauces, rice, cereal bars and tinned fruit. In addition, there was also toothpaste, soap, shower gel, hand wash and anti-bacterial wipes.

Many of these products have been stripped bare from supermarket shelves in the wake of panic buying by worried shoppers in recent days.

They were delivered to Hammersmith Hospital in West London on Wednesday and then again on Saturday.

The Duchess of York and her youngest daughter plan to repeat the feat once again this week, with deliveries planned for other London hospitals, including the Chelsea and Westminster and Upton Hospital in Slough.

A friend of Eugenia and Jack told the Daily Mail: “They wanted to do anything they could to help.”

The idea was suggested to them by a hospital consultant friend.

The Duchess of York is also working together with the British chocolate brand Love Cocoa to bring in supplies of chocolate for hospital workers.

The company is owned by James Cadbury, a scion of the famous chocolate producing family.

He is the great-great grandson of John Cadbury, founder of Cadbury chocolates empire, that initially based in Birmingham.

“They already support cocoa by planting trees in Cameroon.”

Eugenia’s mercy missions come at a time when speculation is growing that she will receive a royal promotion in the wake of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s departure.

Eugenie, who turned 30 on Monday, is currently tenth in line to the throne and is not an official “working” royal.

She has led an independent working life outside of the Royal Family, and is currently employed as a director at the modern art gallery Hauser & Wirth.

This means that the Princess does not receive any public funding and does not carry out many official engagements on behalf of the Queen.

However, she does have certain patronages and charities that she works for and from time to time she attends royal events such as Trooping the Colour.
