Jose Mourinho reveals Man Utd fitness update on NINE players ahead of Sevilla clash
Mourinho confirmed four players will definitely miss the last-16 first leg, but is not sure about Pogba.
The Manchester United boss also believes Marcus Rashford, Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia will be ready while David de Gea is certain to be involved.
Pogba missed the win over Huddersfield on Saturday with illness and is a doubt for Sevilla. United travel to Spain tomorrow morning for the game on Wednesday but they will do so light of bodies.
“I didn’t rest anyone other than [David] De Gea,” Mourinho said.
“Can we recover some of them for Wednesday? I think [Marcus] Rashford, [Ander] Herrera, [Antonio] Valencia have a chance.
“Paul Pogba? I don’t know. [Marcos] Rojo, [Phil] Jones, [Marouane] Fellaini, Zlatan [Ibrahimovic], I don’t think they have any chance.”
Jones’ absence means Eric Bailly could come back in to start after he came off the bench on Saturday.
Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof played together at the weekend but neither have looked assured.
