Meghan Markle designer favourite shows 'wedding dress' white at London Fashion Week show

Meghan Markle, 36, is set to marry Prince Harry, 33, in May, and speculation is rife over who will dress her on the day.

One designer who is hotly tipped to design her wedding dress is British-Canadian Erdem.

He hosted his autumn winter 2018 show this morning, and sent a selection of white dresses down the runway.

These could give a clue as to what former Suits actress Meghan will wear on her wedding day.

Sequins and shimmer were the order of the day, with one off-the-shoulder dress rippling smoothly over the model’s body in a liquid effect.

Another silver sequin dress featured ruffles of white tulle and features for a dramatic tiered look.

The rest of the collection, however, steered clear of white and featured Erdem’s signature florals.

Simple silhouette’s that stayed close to the body were offset with lace and sequin embellishment.

A source revealed to Express.co.uk last November that Meghan has had fittings at Erdem.

The source revealed “beautiful” Meghan went into the Erdem studio for a dress fitting, although they did not elaborate on whether it was for her wedding dress or a gown for another occasion.

Other designers have come forward to express an interest in being chosen to dress Meghan for the wedding day, and one even shared sketches.

Israeli designer Inbal Dror revealed she had been approached to submit designs for the big day.

Dror confirmed to TMZ that she has been contacted by the Royal Family, and shared the three sketches she sent to them.

The designer is an unusual choice for Meghan, who was expected to pick a British fashion house to create her gown.

Vogue has described Inbal Dror dresses as “elegant yet sexy couture creations”.

The designer said of her AW18 collection: “I wanted the dresses to be sophisticated, yet fantasy-like and dreamy.”
