Avengers 4 TITLE ‘was Avengers Infinity Gauntlet until Zoe Saldana accidentally LEAKED it’

When Avengers 3 was first announced as two movies they were called Avengers Infinity War Part I and II.

But after a while Marvel decided to call the first half Avengers Infinity War, while the second became the mysteriously titled Avengers 4.

Still unknown, the true title of Avengers 4 is supposedly a spoiler for Infinity War and will be revealed once sufficient time has passed for the first movie to sink in, according to directors Joe and Anthony Russo.

But last year, while promoting Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, Saldana referred to Avengers 4 as “Gauntlet” when talking to the BBC at the European premiere in London.

She said: “The Guardians just shot their part when it comes to Infinity War – the first part – and we all have to go back for Gauntlet later this year.”

Since then both Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn and Marvel boss Kevin Feige have denied that Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet is the title of Avengers 4.

And with the Russo brothers teasing that Avengers Forever, is the closest guess so far, we’re probably looking at something like Avengers Reassembled or Avengers United in reality.

The leaker claimed: “The title was Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet at one point, but it might be changed after Zoe Saldana accidentally leaked it.”

Well if the leak’s claim that the plot centres on Tony Stark building his own Gauntlet and the Avengers collecting the Infinity Stones in the past is true, then that certainly would fit with Infinity Gauntlet being the original title.

Avengers 4 is released in UK cinemas on April 26, 2019.
