Avengers Endgame tickets reselling for HUNDREDS as Star Wars pre-sale record ANNIHILATED

Yesterday, Avengers Endgame tickets went on sale around the world, crashing cinema websites for hours. UK chains like Cineworld and Odeon couldn’t be accessed for hours, while Vue had a queue system with long waiting times. Some Marvel fans took to social media to either celebrate their success at getting opening weekend seats or lamenting their loss at missing out. According to Fandango, Avengers Endgame broke Star Wars The Force Awakens’ first 24-hour pre-sale record in just six hours.

It’s no understatement that the Avengers Infinity War sequel is the most anticipated movie of all time.

Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis said: “We’ve never seen anything like this, it’s truly a groundbreaking accomplishment – as fans simply cannot wait to see how this epic saga comes to a close.”

In some ways, the hype is unsurprising, as Avengers Endgame is the first of its kind as a conclusion to 22-movies spanning across 11 years.

Of course, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will continue on after Endgame, but this is the ending of the Infinity Saga and the fates of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and more will be revealed for better or worse.

Since tickets for the opening weekend are now so hard to come by, touts are reselling them for hundreds online

And in a couple of cases, some resellers are hoping for amounts as large as $5000 and over $9000.

Alongside Avengers Endgame tickets going on sale, the film’s runtime was revealed at a whopping 182 minutes – a good 20 minutes longer than Avengers Infinity War – and director Joe Russo has explained why.

Marvel Studios also released a surprise new trailer, giving the first look at Thanos.

The Mad Titan appeared in a battle scene opposite Iron Man, Captain America and Thor.

Interestingly, he was shown wearing his full armour suggesting he’s weak.

Could this mean he can no longer use the Infinity Gauntlet after the Snap?
