Avengers Endgame writers debunk shocking death theory in the RUDEST way and it's PERFECT

A major new interview with the film’s directors, Anthony and Joe Russo, and its writers, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, reveals a wealth of new information. Some of it is hilarious and some of it is utterly heartbreaking. Just like the blockbuster movie itself. But our favourite revelation is completely ridiculous and rude and shuts down a Thanos theory which went viral just before the film’s release in April.

Killing Thanos was never going to be easy, but there was something so deliciously irreverent about the idea of Scott Lang shrinking himself down in his Ant-Man suit, flying up the Mad Titan’s backside and then using the Pym Particles to expand to his super giant form.

It’s a cool idea, made irresistible by the fact that the clever originator could have just suggested Lang fly up Thanos’s nose, or in his ear.

Markus explained to Empire magazine online why it just would’t work: “Thanos could take a punch from the Hulk, we’ve seen that. And it stands to reason his whole body is at least as strong as that.”

And then Markus got really graphic.

The Avengers writer explained: “If Ant-Man expanded, he would be simply crushed against the immovable walls of Thanos’ mighty rectum.”

It is the perfect debunk, no ifs and no, sorry, butts.

Thanos was one death most fans were rooting for, but other losses were hard to bear. There is already a petition to bring back Iron Man. Markus also said the strength of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is precisely why fans won’t get their wish.

Markus told Empire: “It’s the nature of the MCU. It’s not a place where you can reboot one and suddenly Iron Man is 15 years old and everyone else is still the same age.

The characters have to pass out, and the universe has to still stand. So if you’re going to take people off the board, they’ve got to go for real.”

But he can’t resist one last tease: “Granted, these are movies. I understand that somebody has made some kind of announcement that has the word ‘Vision’ in it, so I mean…”
