Avengers Infinity War: Captain Marvel for Avengers 4 – FIRST LOOK at Brie Larson on set

Yes Thanos has demanded our silence.

But you don’t need to see Infinity War to know that Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, will be appearing in Avengers 4. Her involvement has already been confirmed.

Her standalone debut movie will hit cinemas a few months before the Avengers final next April. 

Infinity War already gave one huge clue about her involvement and new photographs have finally emerged of the actress on set and in costume.

INFINITY WAR SPOILERS

Infinity War ends on a pretty shocking cliffhanger. Almost all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes are out of the picture and the end credit scene directly sets up the involvement of Captain Marvel.

It makes sense that only one of the most powerful heroes in the entire universe will be need to defeat Thanos and undo his terrible campaign of destruction.

Larson has already been seen filming action scenes in the green and black leather Captain Marvel uniform, complete with her iconic symbol.

WARNING MAJOR SPECIFIC INFINITY SPOILERS FROM HERE

The Infinity War end credit scene shows Nick Fury make a call just as he is reduced to dust when The Snap wipes out half of all life across the universe. A symbol pops up on the phone screen. It is Captain Marvel.

Little is known about the CaptainMarvel movie plot so far, except the film is set in the early 1990s and will feature the Skrulls as the villains. This references the classic Kree-Skrull War from the Marvel Comics. Samuel Jackson’s Fury is confirmed.

Where Marvel has been since then and why the Avengers seem to have no knowledge of her hasn’t been revealed yet.

AVENGERS 4: CAST, RELEASE DATE, PLOT AND CAPTAIN MARVEL

Shooting started on the Los Angeles sets on March 21 and Captain Marvel writer Geneva Robertson-Dworet recently revealed what fans can expect from the latest Marvel Studios hero.

She said: “Oh, man, I love that character! We really were bringing so much of what was already in the comics onto the screen, it felt like, in terms of the amazing character who’s so funny and sassy and talks back, and she’s fearless. I love that Carol Danvers is so funny.

“She has a blast when she kicks ass. Those comics are amazing! It’s an amazing world and sandbox to play in. You’re working with incredible creative people, every day. I had a total dream experience.”
