Avengers: Samuel Jackson's Nick Fury CONFIRMED for the BIGGEST scene in Marvel history

It’s not just Hawkeye who is AWOL.

Nick Fury brought together the Avengers and was instrumental in building the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe but hasn’t been seen since 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Jackson didn’t hide his unhappiness at not appearing in Captain America Civil War nor his disappointment (or should that be ‘Fury’?) at not popping up in the first-ever superhero movie lead by a black cast.

Black Panther has come and gone but MCU star Sebastian Stan finally gave some very good news about the return of Fury.

Stan told The Independent: “There was one scene, I think, we had where everybody was there. I can’t really talk about that scene, but I knew it took them three months in planning this scene to have everyone there.

“You look around and you just saw everyone from Samuel L. Jackson to Michael Douglas to Michelle Pfeiffer. Everybody was there.”

The biggest gathering of characters in Infinity War is expected at the final battle in Wakanda. However it seems almost impossible that Stan is referring to this scene.

Pfeiffer and Douglas are part of the Ant-Man franchise but the former is not expected to make her debut as Janet Van Dyne until Ant-Man and the Wasp in July.

She will play the missing mother of Evangeline Lily’s character, who was the original Wasp.

Jackson, meanwhile, has not been seen in any promotional artwork or trailers, nor mentioned in any interviews so far. He is not listed on the IMDB castlist for Avengers 3.

So when will he appear in the scene mentioned by Stan?

The iconic airport battle scene from Civil War is expected to be easily topped by the superheroes massed for the defence of Wakanda against Thanos’ invasion.

This will be topped again, it seems, by the biggest scene of all, which can only come in Avengers 4 when the entire MCU to this point will reach its grand climax. 

It looks like fans will need a new word for epic…
