Black Panther digital, DVD and Blu-ray RELEASE DATE: Ant-Man 2 PREVIEW, deleted scenes

Black Panther is currently the biggest film of the year.

The release of Avengers Infinity War on April 26 (April 27 in the US) may change all that, but the King of Wakanda will be looking to set more new records while Avengers 3 is still in cinemas.

The Black Panther home entertainment packages will be released just weeks after the Marvel Cinematic Universe wraps up Phases 1, 2 and 3 on the big screen.

The good news gets better with the announcement that the DVD and Blu-ray packages will also include bonus features and a special preview of the next MCU movie to hit cinemas straight after Infinity War.

Marvel fans will barely be able to draw breath over the next few months as Infinity war hits cinemas, Black Panther is released on home entertainment and then Ant Man and the Wasp buzzes onto the big screen.

They will still be reeling from the devastating showdown between Thanos and all the greatest heroes of the galaxy when Black Panther claws its way onto DVD and Blu-ray platforms.

A new Marvel tweet and video confirmed the digital download and streaming date for May 8, with DVD and Blu-ray following on May 15. WATCH the preview video next.

British fans should note that the dates are only confirmed for the US so far.

Alhtough many blockbusters often open in cinemas in the UK days or even weeks ahead of the US, it seems to be the reverse with home entertainment packages.

The Star Wars The Last Jedi digital, DVD and Blu-ray release were weeks ahead over the Pond.

The will be more local pain when Ant Man And The Wasp opens in the US on July 6 but on August 5 in the UK.

AVENGERS INFINITY WAR IS OUT ON APRIL 26.
