BRIT Awards 2019: Tickets on sale NOW – how to buy, prices, date, all the info you need
The biggest night in the British music calendar is on Wednesday, February 20, 2019; back at The O2 Arena. And after Sam Fender was named the recipient of this year’s Critics’ Choice Award, tickets are out now for all Mastercard holders.
Those with a Mastercard debit, credit or prepaid card can access exclusive priority booking up until next Thursday, December 20.
The tickets cost £120 plus a facility fee, and can be bought here.
The BRIT Awards will be hosted by Jack Whitehall for the second year running, with the gongs designed by Sir David Adjaye OBE.
The full list of nominees will be announced in the New Year.
Fender’s win puts him in good company: previous Critics’ Choice winners have gone on to enjoy enormous success.
Adele, Florence + The Machine, Emeli Sandé, Sam Smith and Rag ‘n’ Bone Man are among the previous champions, with last year’s winner Jorja Smith scoring a Top 3 album last summer.
Fender overcame competition from Lewis Capaldi and Mahalia to scoop the win.
“This is very dizzying and wonderful,” he told the BBC.
And speaking to Sky News, he beamed: “If I say ‘genuinely overwhelmed’ one more time I’m going to slap myself.
“We didn’t even expect to get nominated. Then they told us that we’d won, which is ridiculous, so ridiculous.”
“Adele and Sam Smith are like A grade, top-of-the-top vocalists.
“Plus, I’m alternative guitar, alt-rock guitar music, and I don’t think that’s been in the Critics’ Choice yet so it’s quite refreshing I think to be given this.”
The BRIT Awards 2019 with Mastercard take place on Wednesday 20 February.
