British Soap Awards 2019 Best Dressed: Lucy Fallon, Shayne Ward and Faye Brookes sizzle
The British Soap Awards celebrates the cream of the crop of the soap world. This year, the ceremony is being held at the Lowry Theatre, in Salford, Manchester. Stars of the small screen flocked to the lavish venue, hitting the red carpet three hours before the ceremony, with many appearing perfectly preened. Coronation Street stars were cream of the stylish crop, with Lucy Fallon, who plays Bethany Platt, leading the way in a stunning floor length Grecian style dress.
Shayne Ward, who played troubled Aidan Connor in the ITV soap in a stint which culminated in a hard-hitting suicide awareness plot line, showed off the results of his new weight loss in a ready tux.
He wore a smart black blazer and matching trousers and bow tie.
The former X Factor winner was accompanied by fiancee Sophie Austin, former Hollyoaks across, who sizzled in a red dress.
Also channelling the red trend was Lisa George, in a cute velvet scarlet number.
She paired the gown with eye-popping pink platform shoes.
Others included Faye Brookes, who recently announced she was quitting Corrie, in a floor length silver patterned gown with a split up the side.
Showing her fashionable side, she added diamente hair slides and silver heels.
Corrie’s Alexandra Mardell stunned in a cerise halter neck jumpsuit with a plunging neckline, accessorised with a bubbly, beaming smile, while Alison King, who plays factory boss Carla Connor, mixed up a black frock with neon accessories.
Sally-Ann Matthews kept it simple and chic with a fitted blue dress while Sair Khan, who recently braved the I’m A Celeb jungle, simply sizzled in a daring bright yellow two-piece.
Hollyoaks beauty Stephanie Davis, who is nominated for an award, oozed elegance in a peach floor length gown with appliqué floral detail.
She arrived at the venue alongside boyfriend and co-star Owen Warner, who wore a dapper dark red suit.
Emmerdale’s Isobel Steele and Eden Taylor-Draper went for monochrome colours, pulling the looks off with aplomb.
Hats off to Isabel Hodgins, too, who sported a daring fairy-style pink frock which was given a sassy, streetwise edge courtesy of her buzz cut hairstyle.
Fellow Dales star Lucy Pargeter, who plays Chaz Dingle, looked as far away from a day at Home Farm, as possible in a black lace gown, with a thigh split adding an extra splash of sex appeal.
The British Soap Awards ceremony will be broadcast live on ITV and will start at 8pm
The British public have voted for three categories – these being Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Soap.
