Brock Lesnar to return to the UFC: Dana White makes stunning statement

The former ruler of the UFC’s heavyweight division hasn’t set foot inside the cage since his UFC 200 bout with Mark Hunt, which he won via unanimous decision.

Lesnar’s victory over ‘The Super Samoan’ was overturned to a no contest following the discovery that he’d failed drug tests before and after the historic card. 

The South Dakota native was handed a one-year suspension for his anti-doping infringement, which resulted in Hunt filing a lawsuit against him.

Lesnar’s period of ineligibility ended last July and speculation has been rife that he could one day return to mixed martial arts’ premier promotion. 

The 40-year-old’s current contract with the WWE expires after Wrestlemania in April and many have predicted that the UFC will try to convince him to have one last fight in the Octagon. 

White was asked that very question during an appearance on UFC Tonight earlier this week and admitted there’s a chance we could see Lesnar lace up his gloves one last time. 

“Anything is possible,” White told Michael Bisping and Kenny Florian when asked about the possibility of Lesnar returning to the UFC. 

“Brock has always shown interest in coming over and fighting in the UFC.

“I wouldn’t be shocked if he gave it one more shot.”

The notion of Lesnar returning to the UFC has enraged Hunt, who is adamant his former opponent has used performance-enhancing drugs throughout his MMA and wrestling careers. 

“He shouldn’t be fighting, he’s just a cheater,” he told Submission Radio. 

“It just goes to show the credibility when a guy like Brock Lesnar’s coming back, so it’s all about money. 

“You don’t really care about the fighters at all. We’re setting a bad example. 

“It’s pathetic, that’s all I can say. He’s a bum.”
