Formed during their time at Bedford Modern ten years ago, Don Broco have come a long way.

Scoring their first studio album– Priorities – in 2012, the rock band followed with Automatic, which peaked at No 6 in the UK charts and have now brought  out their latest, Technology.

Released last week, the new record was celebrated with an album launch show at University of London Union.

The sold-out gig was ram-packed with the Don Broco faithful, waiting desperately for Rob Damiani, Simon Delaney, Matt Donnelly and Tom Doyle to take the stage.

Met with rapturous chanting and applause, Don Broco kicked off the show with one of their Technology singles, Pretty, which saw a wall of death formed straight away.

Playing through some of their earlier hits like Priorities and Automatic, fans were treated to live performances of other songs from the new album like Stay Ignorant – giving off an 1980s-esque, darker vibe from their previous work.

Don Broco live is certainly a heavier, punky and almost head-banging experience compared when listening on audio – something the band should embrace going forward.

Of course the highlight of the concert was the encore, with fans treated to hit songs Come Out To LA and T-Shirt Song.

The latter, loyal to its name, saw many fans taking off their t-shirts and swinging them round to complement the lyrics.

All in all, Don Broco put on an impressive spectacle and are a band to watch out for in the future.

Technology is out now.
