Remainer protesters took over the anniversary of The Beatles’ Abbey Road zebra crossing photograph before they were told to “go home”. In the video, the protesters can be seen holding up pro-EU signs and wearing blue EU t-shirts. One sign read: “All EU need is love”, while another added: “With love from me to EU”.

Photographers were seen taking snaps of the protesters as a crowd looked on at the Remainers.

One demonstrator even waved a massive EU flag, before someone was overheard in the crowd saying: “Go home”.

Crowds had turned up to the iconic Abbey Road zebra crossing to mark the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ album cover photo being taken.

Online commentators were quick to respond to the video posted online by talkRADIO, with one branding the protesters “deluded”.

Not long until it’s the end of the road for Remoaners

One said: “Bunch of deluded, champagne socialist, T***s! All EU need is Brexit!”

Another added: “Not long until it’s the end of the road for Remoaners”.

A third said: “Oh god, can’t these fools leave anyone alone?”

One online commentator even claimed they were “getting tired” of the demonstrators, branding them “pathetic”.

On August 8, 1969 at 11:35am, photographer Iain Macmillan took the picture which is now the Abbey Road album cover.

The protestors are angry at Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s vow to take the UK out of the EU by the end of October this year.

Mr Johnson has demanded changes to the backstop mechanism within the withdrawal agreement, but the EU has so far refused to budge.

Speaking to reporters during a visit to a science centre in Abingdon, Mr Johnson said: “We are going to leave the European Union on October 31 which is what the people of this country voted for, it’s what MPs voted for, and that’s what I think parliamentarians of this country should get on and do.

“I think that MPs should get on and deliver on what they have promised over and over and over again to the people of this country, they will deliver on the mandate of 2016 and leave the EU on October 31.”

It comes after pro-EU Tory MP Dominic Grieve has suggested Parliament can still stop Britain from leaving the EU with no deal at the end of October.

Mr Grieve said on Monday there were “a number of things which the House of Commons can do, including bringing down the Government via a vote of no-confidence and setting up a new government in its place.”

Rebels have hinted under the Fixed-Term Parliaments Act, if the Government lost a vote of confidence MPs could seek to put a new government of national unity in its place – before going to the EU to ask for a further Brexit extension.

But, the remark was dismissed by the Prime Minister’s special adviser, Dominic Cummins, who reportedly suggested Mr Johnson would not necessarily have to resign, even if he lost a vote of no-confidence, or could even delay the timing of a potential general election until after Britain has left the EU.
