Tonight, fans are tuning in from across the world to watch the Golden Globe Awards 2019. The evening serves as an opportunity for stars to gather to celebrate their work and achievements. And, while the first major event in this year’s awards season gets underway, it’s time to look at who wore what to the event. Express.co.uk has picked some of the most stunning outfits spotted on the red carpet at the Golden Globes.

Lady Gaga proved she knew how to command attention on the red carpet in the very best way as she sported an incredible pale blue gown.

She’s well known for her out-there ensembles, and tonight was no different.

The off-the-shoulder gown, which few others could pull off, featured huge oversized sleeves.

The unforgettable outfit choice also had a long train which billowed behind the 32-year-old singer.

Upping the style stakes in Beverly Hills tonight was Australian actor and filmmaker Cody Fern.

The 30-year-old sported an all-black look, comprising of a black shirt with a sheer panel tucked into high-waisted trousers.

Another actor turning heads on the red carpet was Idris Elba.

The actor wore a patterned teal jacket and matching waistcoat, as well as a white shirt and black trousers.

Finishing off his look, the 46-year-old Luther star sported smart turquoise shoes.

Meanwhile, Rachel Weisz looked nothing short of spectacular in a black and white number.

Her outfit featured a Bardot white top made from ruffled fabric, and a long black fitted skirt.

For her accessories, she opted for a sparkling choker necklace, a huge ring, and a black clutch bag.

The 48-year-old actor, who is a nominee for an award following her performance in The Favourite, finished her glamorous aesthetic with a slick of red lipstick.

Emily Blunt looked very elegant as she arrived in a pale-toned lace number.

Lupita Nyong’o, 35, also wowed with her outfit choice.

The Black Panther star, who played the role of Nakia in the 2018 film, donned a strapless blue gown.

Her dress was adorned with beaded silver tassels.

Keeping accessories to a minimum, she added an extra touch of glamour with a sparkling silver bracelet and several rings.
