Harry Kewell drops Liverpool Champions League claim: Man City could win 6-0
Liverpool take a 3-0 lead to the Etihad following their impressive win at Anfield last Wednesday.
Kewell was part of the Reds team who came from three goals down to beat AC Milan in the 2005 final, so he knows a lot about big comebacks on the European stage.
The Crawley manager is not sure how the game will go tonight but is predicting an end-to-end encounter.
And while he says Manchester City could win 6-0, the Australian admits Liverpool could also run out comfortable victors.
“To be honest with you, these two teams are going to go at it tonight,” Kewell told talkSPORT.
“In terms of attacking style of football they are the best two in the league.
“To be honest with you, and I’m sure everyone is going to say the same, I don’t think you can pick it. I don’t know. Honestly, I don’t know what could happen.
“Liverpool could actually go there and win 4-0 but City could probably go there and win six. It’s just who can hit the back of the net first.
“It’s going to be an exciting game, don’t get me wrong.
“I don’t think you are going to expect too much difference from Pep (Guardiola’s) team. They’re going to play the same style, they’re going to create a lot of chances.
“It’s just what are we going to get from Liverpool? Are they going to go with a defensive mind?
“Are they going to go to defend the lead? Or are they just going to play their natural game?
“One of the hardest things in football is to defend a lead, because it’s the mindset.”
