Harry Potter became more than just a character in a book: he is a worldwide phenomenon. His stories, written by J.K. Rowling, have spawned a franchise unlike any other in history, with theme parks, studio tours and other huge attractions dedicated to him. One of these is at the Universal Studios in Florida, where acres of land has been offered to fans to enjoy all aspects of the Harry Potter universe.

How to take a virtual tour of Universal Studios’ Harry Potter World

Thanks to the UndercoverTourist.com, fans from all over the world can get the chance to see the inside of the resort’s Harry Potter World.

In a YouTube video spanning more than 12 minutes, fans are taken on a tour of the entire attraction, with moments to pause and enjoy the magic.

To start, fans can walk through Hogwarts Castle before going on the ride of their lives, the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride.

While in the queue, you can see the Herbology greenhouse and admire all the strange plants and creature heading towards Professor Dumbledore’s office.

On the way to the office, however, you can listen in to a conversation between some of the founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry: Salazar Slytherin, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw and Godric Gryffindor.

After heading through Dumbledore’s office, fans will go into the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom, where Harry, Ron and Hermione will give explicit instructions on how to sneak out to the Quidditch Pitch.

Of course, you have to get past the Fat Lady and the Sorting Hat before you can meet Hermione for the spell, and you hear all the pictures talking to one another in their usual form.

From here, you can take a seat on the ride to take you up to the Astronomy Tower where you meet Harry and Ron, but the flight takes you on a far more exciting journey than just there.

Fans will then be taken through the Forbidden Forest to see creatures such as Hagrid’s huge spiders, as well as the Whomping Willow, before you arrive at the Quidditch pitch.

Here, Dementors are waiting, but you fly through and arrive safely back at Hogwarts to meet Dumbledore himself.

Needless to say, there is a huge amount to enjoy on the ride, including the lights, the effects, and the Harry Potter music blaring through the speakers.

As well as this, holograms and other tech make it feel as if your favourite characters are right there with you for the entire event.

Where is the Harry Potter World attraction?

Harry Potter World, known as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, is in Universal Studios in Florida, where it opened in 2010.

The huge world spans across two theme parks, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, which are neighbouring parks.

At the Islands of Adventure side, as well as Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter contains Flight of the Hippogriff, a family roller coaster, and Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.

The area also features a re-creation of Hogsmeade containing gift shops and restaurants from the novels including Dervish and Banges, Honeydukes, Ollivanders, Zonko’s Joke Shop, the Three Broomsticks, and the Hog’s Head.

From there, there is a full-scale working replica of the Hogwarts Express taking guests between the two lands.

In the Universal Studios side, there is the 3D simulator Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts based on Gringotts Bank, with the remaining features themed around London and Diagon Alley.
