James Bond 25: Moneypenny star REVEALS what Danny Boyle will bring to the 007 franchise

With Boyle expected to helm Daniel Craig’s fifth and final James Bond movie later this year, fans have been wondering how the director will leave his mark on the franchise.

Now Moneypenny star Harris has spoken out, having “genuinely squeal[ed] with excitement” at the news of the filmmaker taking on Bond 25.

Speaking with Metro US she said: “[Danny will bring] his vision.

“He just has such a clear vision about what he wants. And his voice is so unique as a director. And the way he directs with such clarity.”

The 41-year-old actress continued: “It is really beautiful to be a part of.

“Because sometimes there is some uncertainty about what you are part of and where the journey is ending. But with Danny you are always very clear about that.”

She also believes Boyle will bring an “amazing story” to Bond 25.

Harris has previously claimed that Boyle made her famous for casting her in 2002 zombie flick 28 Days Later.

When told he was set to helm Bond 25, Harris admitted she hadn’t heard the news.

She said: “Are you serious? No flipping way. Really? I love Danny. He is amazing. That will be so cool. That will be incredible.

“We are always the last to know. I was on the red carpet for “Spectre” and someone asked, ‘Are you excited that Sam Smith is doing the song?’

“I had no idea. I know nothing. I don’t even know when we are shooting.

“I am running to my manager after this call to find out more, though.”

Harris starred as Moneypenny in Skyfall and Spectre, the last two Bond movies.

She’s also known for playing Calypso in Pirates of the Caribbean and Winnie Mandela in Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.

Next she stars opposite Dwayne Johnson in monster action movie Rampage later this month.

James Bond 25 is set for release in November 2019.
