James Bond star reveals Ian Fleming’s ‘SCARILY similar’ coronavirus prediction in 007 film
As the coronavirus pandemic spreads, older celebrities have been reassuring fans that they are self-isolating to protect their health. Most recently James Bond star George Lazenby did just that. The 80-year-old posted on his Instagram: “Hey guys – many people are wondering how I’m doing and all I can say is that I’m back home in LA safe and sound.”
Lazenby continued: “Very sad I currently can’t see my young kids because of this Coronavirus…
“For the last two weeks, I’ve been on the road catching up with my Oz family.
“I was also one of the special guests @supanovaexpo in Melbourne.
“Then my manager and I flew to Sydney for some personal stuff.”

The Bond actor continued: “Was busy doing media and then on to the Gold Cost.
“Through all this craziness, we got to remember our loved ones.
“Today is my sister’s birthday so this post is for her.
“Thank you for always looking after me Barbara, I love you. Stay healthy everyone, George xx.”

The On Her Majesty’s Secret Service star also revealed a startling prediction of coronavirus found in Ian Fleming’s book and film of the same name.
Lazenby said: “Believe it or not, Operation Corona was coined by Ian Fleming for the scarily similar story in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.”
It’s true. In the novel and film Operation Corona saw Bond disguise himself as genealogist Sir Hillary Bray to tempt the villainous Blofeld out of Switzerland.
In an odd coincidence, Blofeld’s plan is to brainwash a group of women called the Angels of Death to distribute bacteriological warfare agents throughout the world.

The villain intended on holding the world to ransom, threatening to destroy its agriculture.
In real-life Operation Corona was an RAF initiative taken during the Second World War.
When RAF bombers attacked cities in Nazi Germany, Allied German speakers would impersonate their Air Defence officers to confuse German nightfighters.
Operation Corona was launched in October 1943 and was made possible thanks mainly to German Jews who fled to England from the Nazis.
Fans of films, TV and books have also been pointing out other alleged predictions of coronavirus.
From an Asterix character called Coronavirus to the 2011 movie Contagion.
While 1981 thriller The Eyes of Darkness by Dean Koontz talks of a virus created in a lab in Wuhan, China.
Additionally, a 2008 prediction of the end of the world book called End of Days, co-written by Sylvia Browne, claimed that: “In around 2020 a severe pneumonia-like illness will spread throughout the globe, attacking the lungs and the bronchial tubes and resisting all known treatments”
