Kevin Hart crash: Did Kevin Hart almost die in car crash? What happened to Kevin Hart?
Kevin Hart is known for being a comedian, actor and all-round funny guy. He has starred in comedies alongside some of the most famous people in Hollywood, including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Ice Cube. But is it true he had an accident which left him hospitalised and close to death?
On September 1, Hart was involved in a huge accident when his car, a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, went off the road on Mulholland Highway and rolled down an embankment in Calabasas, California.
The report from TMZ on the night revealed the driver, Jared Black, lost control of the car and it tumbled off the road.
Two passengers had to be cut out of the car by emergency services following the dramatic incident.
The third passenger, Rebecca Broxterman, fiancee of the driver, was unhurt, but both Hart and Black were admitted to hospitals in the area, with Hart being said to have had “major injuries.”

Kevin Hart car crash: Did Kevin Hart almost die?
Black was not under the influence when driving the car, as was determined by emergency services at the time.
Hart was taken to Northridge Hospital Medical Centre in California and was released 10 days later, after which he continued to recover in a rehabilitation facility.
To tell the story of his journey after his crash, Hart released an emotional video on Instagram at the end of October.
The video started with this message on screen: “September 1, 2019. I was involved in an accident. My world was forever changed.”
Hart narrated the video, which featured images of him in hospital, him in a rehabilitation facility and doing exercises to increase his strength and get back to full health.
He said: “Basically what you realise is that you’re not in control. No matter how much you think you’re in control, you’re not in control. At the end of the day it could all be over.”
“When God talks, you have got to listen. Life is funny,. because some the craziest thighs that happen to you end up being the thing that you needed most.
“In this case, I honestly feel like God told me to sit down. When you’re moving too fast and doing too much you can’t see the things you’re meant to see.

“But after my accident I see things differently. I see life from a whole new perspective and my appreciation for life is through the roof.
“I’m thankful for my family, my friends, the people who simply ride with me and have been with me because you stood by me.
“My fans: I’m thankful for all your love and support. So don’t take today for granted because tomorrow’s not promised.
“I’m thankful for God, thankful for life. I’m thankful for simply still being here.

“The role of being a bigger, better version of me. I’m look forward to an amazing 2020.”
In the video, a doctor told him his recovery would likely take a year, meaning Hart will still be doing his rehabilitation while promoting his new film with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Jumanji: The Next Level.
Speaking about Hart’s accident during the promotion, Johnson said his “heart stopped” when he thought his friend may be close to death in the accident.
He told Kevin McCarthy: “His situation could’ve gone another way. He knows that, we know that.

“When I heard the news, my heart stopped and I lost my breath. Kevin’s one of the good ones, he’s a good egg.
“So I’m really proud of not only his ability to overcome, but we’re here, we’re in Cabo [promoting the film], we made Jumanji. Life is good. I’m happy that he’s here.”
Needless to say, Hart will still be a firm favourite on the big screen for years to come.
Jumanji: The Next Level is out in cinemas on December 13
