Meghan Markle commands attention in purple dress and killer high heels in London

Meghan Markle put on a colourful display as she matched a block purple dress with a pair of navy blue heels to attend the event. She showed her support without Prince Harry, 34, on the opening night which took place at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The Duchess of Sussex has attended the event before, sitting as a counsellor in 2014 and again in 2016. This year, she stepped out in her role as the vice president of the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, which is partnering with One Young World.

The official Instagram page of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, sussexroyal, posted about Meghan’s connection to non-profit organisation.

The post said: “The Duchess of Sussex will attend @OneYoungWorld opening ceremony this evening to continue her support for this amazing collective of global youth ambassadors.

“Her Royal Highness was a counsellor for OYW in Dublin in 2014 as well as in Ottawa in 2016.”

Meghan embraced Autumn fashion in the on-trend dark purple number which had long sleeves.

The statement garment pulled her in at the waist and had a loose midi skirt.

A subtle flash of leg could be seen as she walked from a slit up the side of the skirt.

The Duchess opted for trendy clashing colours and completed the look with suede navy high heeled shoes.

The dress had a high neckline and she let the bold look speak for itself by choosing not to wear much jewellery.

Meghan was seen meeting with members of the organisation as she arrived at the venue in London.

Her long black locks were down and styled into a middle pattern and bouncy curl.
