Melania Trump commanded attention in a black sleeveless gown last night. She joined her husband, Donald Trump, as they brought in the New Year at their Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. The couple hosted the event for hundreds of guests including family, friends and political allies.

The US First Lady opted for a stunning black gown which had a gold and silver glitter design across the top.

Melania stood by her husband as she gave a brief press conference before the festivities began.

The former model showed off her chic wardrobe by wearing the loose floor length gown.

The black sleeveless garment had a high neck and the top was covered by gold and silver glitter.

The look was given more sparkle with silver detailing down the skirt of the dress.

It had a loose skirt and cut off at the ankle giving a glimpse at her stiletto heels.

The closed toe leather high heels could be seen as she walked down the red carpet with Donald.

Melania wore her highlighted light brown locks down and styled into a loose curl.

DON’T MISS

She opted for glamorous make up and wore black eyeshadow with lashings of mascara.

Melania completed the look with a light pink lipgloss and slick of bronzer.

Although she wore minimal jewellery, her stunning diamond engagement ring could be seen on her hand.

Donald dressed for the occasion wearing a black suit with a white shirt and black bow tie.

Yesterday, Melania looked back on her year by posting a video on her Instagram account.

The caption read: “#2019 was a successful year! It was a privilege to meet so many incredible people.

“As we head into the New Year, I will continue speaking with children and encouraging them to #BeBest”

Melania will often choose stunning pieces from her designer wardrobe when she is spotted out.

Formerly a model, the First Lady has shown off her impressive fashion sense and has continued to wear designer garments.

However, this came with a hefty price tag as she spent an estimated £193,694 on clothes in 2019, according to reports on her outfits.

In June, she spent an astounding £22,398 on clothes in just one day at the G7 summit.
