No Time To Die set: TEARS on Daniel Craig’s last day as James Bond ‘I was a complete mess’
Last October, Daniel Craig shot his final scene as James Bond. That is, of course, assuming he really means it that No Time To Die is his fifth and final 007 movie. Now in new interviews, the 52-year-old and Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson have admitted how tearful everyone was that fateful night.
According to GQ, Craig was on the verge of tears when he was ready to give something of a goodbye speech on the Pinewood Studios set.
The actor, who had just shot scenes set in Cuba dressed in his iconic tuxedo, said: “I had a whole thing kind of put together in my head that I wanted to say. I couldn’t get it out.”
Meanwhile, his stunt double was crying and Broccoli admits she couldn’t hold her emotions in.
The producer said: “We knew it was a monumental moment.”

Barbara Broccoli persuaded Daniel Craig to return for No Time To Die
Broccoli continued: “There wasn’t a dry eye, to be honest.
“I was a mess, I was a complete and utter mess.”
Wilson added: “It’s night shooting—everybody usually runs off.
“And they just were talking with each other and shaking hands. And it was as if they knew it had to end, but they didn’t like the idea.”

Asked how she would cope without Craig, Broccoli answered: “Honestly, I don’t know.
“I can’t…I don’t want to think about it.”
The producer had already managed to persuade the star to return after Spectre.
And now admits she’s in denial that he’s really done with the part.

Broccoli told Entertainment Weekly earlier this year: “He felt at the end of the last movie he’d kind of done it.
“I said to him, ‘I don’t think you have, I think there’s still more of the story of your Bond to tell.’
“Fortunately, he came around to agree with that.”
However, now Craig’s finished shooting No Time To Die she’s struggling with the reality that the star will no longer be Bond.
Asked about finding his replacement, Broccoli said: “We still have so much to do to finish this film, to get it right, so we’re really focusing on that.
“I’m in denial, to be honest, about Daniel.
“I can’t really confront that right now.”
No Time To Die is released in UK cinemas on November 12, 2020.
