October 2019 may have kicked off with a very good start yesterday for two investors in Premium Bonds. That’s because two people were selected for a £1 million payout in the Premium Bonds monthly prize draw. The October 2019 prize fund came to more than £96 million. The total number of prizes was in excess of 3.3 million. NS&I say that if a person has registered for the online and phone service, then investors can ask them to email should they win.

However these is another way to check for winnings. For instance, this can be done by using a prize checker app.

The app will show users prizes for that month, as well as anything they may have won in the previous six draws.

It will also highlight any prizes older than 18 months which haven’t been claimed since the Bonds first entered the draw.

The same information is also available on the NS&I website, if a person wants to check online.

Should they have an Amazon Alexa, then they may opt to enable the prize checker skill in order to check for prizes, find out when the next results are available, and for any unclaimed prizes.

When it comes to high value prizes, which means a £5,000 payout or higher, the prize will not be automatically paid.

Rather, NS&I will check first by sending a claim form in the post.

The winner should then complete the form and confirm how they would like to be paid.

If the Premium Bonds holder has been selected for a £1 million jackpot, then they will get a visit from a person known as Agent Million.

NS&I tells investors to ensure that they ask for their ID ahead of celebrating the win.

Some details have been revealed about the winners of this month’s two jackpots on NS&I.
