Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo left Tottenham clash with transfer deal in mind

Real Madrid went into the game aiming to secure a return to winning ways after setbacks in the league and in Europe.

But Tottenham put them to the sword, with Dele Alli’s double inspiring Spurs to one of the most famous wins in their history.

Eriksen also got in on the act, scoring Tottenham’s third before Ronaldo added a late consolation from the penalty spot.

And Spanish website Don Balon say Ronaldo left Wembley wanting Real Madrid to make Eriksen their new blockbuster signing.

The Denmark international is currently in his fifth season at Tottenham since signing from Ajax in 2013.

His rise under Mauricio Pochettino has been nothing short of stunning, with the playmaker now regarded as one of the best players in the Premier League.

Last night he was at his creative best, helping Tottenham put three past the current La Liga and Champions League holders.

And Don Balon say Ronaldo now wants him to join Real Madrid. 

He supposedly thinks that, with Toni Kroos and Luka Modric struggling for consistency, Eriksen could be the key to turning their fortunes around.

It is also clear that Real boss Zinedine Zidane does not have confidence in Dani Ceballos. 

Meanwhile, Zidane has moved to quash talk of a crisis following their Wembley woes.

“We are not in crisis,” he said.

”It does not feel like we’ve been beaten, perhaps we lacked the peace of mind we’ve always had in front of the goal. 

“When you have two chances you should score two goals. Today we did not make chances and we did not score them.

“I’m sure we’re going to turn it around, we lost today but this is a very long season. We congratulate our opponent and we reflect on the match. We are all very disappointed.”
