Star Wars 9: Darth Vader and Snoke RETURN in epic Palpatine Rise of Skywalker clip – WATCH
A new clip from Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker has landed seeing Kylo Ren come upon the Emperor’s Sith lair. Having arrived by TIE Silencer, Ben Solo unleashes his lightsaber only to hear not just Palpatine’s voice, but also that of Snoke and Darth Vader.
Palpatine says: “At last my boy…
“I have been every voice..”
As Snoke continues: “…you have ever heard…”
And Darth Vader finishes: “…inside your head…”

What is that machine? Is it keeping Palpatine alive?
What the Sith is going on?
By the looks and sounds of it, Palpatine has been manipulating Kylo Ren throughout the entire sequel trilogy.
Presumably, he worked through Snoke and the Darth Vader helmet – even though Anakin Skywalker was redeemed and lives on as a Force ghost.
Interestingly, the rest of the clip plays John Williams’ The Duel of the Fates from the prequel trilogy, perhaps suggesting a link to Palpatine and Anakin’s past?
Is Anakin’s Force ghost tempting Kylo Ren to the Light Side?
Is Kylo Ren facing Emperor Palpatine here?
Inverse argues: “If Palpatine’s been pretending to be Vader inside Ben Solo’s brain all along, perhaps someone else has been behind his pull to the light.
“Rey is an obvious choice, but maybe grandpappy Anakin has been trying to get through to them.”
Considering that The Rise of Skywalker is concluding Palpatine and Anakin’s story arc from Episode I: The Phantom Menace, we’d expect Hayden Christensen’s Force ghost – last seen at the end of Return of the Jedi – to make a big comeback.
After all, he’s the Chosen One prophesied to bring balance to the Force.

Meanwhile, an alleged leak may explain why we hear Snoke’s voice in this clip.
WARNING: POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR THE RISE OF SKYWALKER AHEAD.
Making Star Wars’ Jason Ward claims that Palpatine reveals he is the true power behind Snoke, even claiming: “I Am Snoke!”
However, it’s not quite as simple as him possessing the now-deceased Supreme Leader.
Ward added: “The film will likely not answer the question about how Darth Sidious survived according to my sources. It will imply he controlled Supreme Leader Snoke, but not that Snoke is actually an avatar of Palpatine himself.”
Allegedly, Palpatine saying, “I am Snoke!” reflects his iconic line in Revenge of the Sith, “I am the Senate!”
Meanwhile, Snoke star Andy Serkis has teased his character’s backstory, which will hopefully be revealed in The Rise of Skywalker.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is released in UK cinemas on December 19, 2019.
