Conor McGregor slammed by Nate Diaz

Nate Diaz has claimed McGregor is afraid to have a trilogy fight with him.

Diaz and McGregor, 33 and 29 respectively, fought one another twice in 2016, with the latter winning their rematch via majority decision.

The Ultimate Fighter season five campaigned for an immediate rubber match but wasn’t given the opportunity to settle his score with ‘The Notorious’.

And he reckons Ireland’s first UFC belt holder isn’t interested in having a series-deciding fight.

When asked by TMZ if he thought a third fight between himself and the Dubliner would materialise, he said: “Scared for his life.”

Dana White gives update on Georges St-Pierre

UFC president Dana White has revealed he hasn’t held talks with Georges St-Pierre about returning to the promotion.

“No, we haven’t talked recently,” White said. “I haven’t talked to ‘GSP’ and I definitely haven’t talked to ‘GSP’ about fighting.

“I think that I hit his (up) agent a month-and-a-half (ago) about something.

“But I don’t remember off the top of my head exactly what it was.

“It was about a fight, it might’ve been about (fighting Tyron) Woodley. I don’t remember.”

Dustin Poirier takes aim at Eddie Alvarez

Dustin Poirier has accused former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez of turning down multiple offers to have a rematch.

“Me and Eddie were offered a rematch on that Brooklyn show that Tony [Ferguson] and Khabib [Nurmagomedov] were on,” Poirier said during an appearance on The MMA Hour.

“And my management told me that pretty much they’re probably trying to book this fight because if they fall out, one of you are going to replace them.

“I accepted the fight. Eddie turned it down. This was months ago. We could have been on that card, Eddie’s ranked higher than me, he probably would have fought for the belt a couple weekends ago.”

He added: “It was offered a bunch of times, man. “There were a bunch of cards that they offered the fight on.

“I accepted every time they offered it, Eddie turned it down every time. I think it was five times.”
