Club director Josh Kroenke responded to fan backlash on Monday by promising more fresh faces coming into the club.

Arsenal fans have been irate in recent months with the direction the club has taken since owner Stan Kroenke became the majority shareholder.

Many have questioned why the club has spent so little in comparison to their Premier League rivals this summer, with Brazilian youngster Gabriel Martinelli the only signing so far this window for £6million.

But after a petition calling for Kroenke to leave the club reached 35,000 signatures, Kroenke spoke to Arsenal’s official website to tease fans about potential incomings.

“I would say ‘be excited’,” the director said when asked about new signings.

“There are a few things that I know our group are working on, and a few things we hopefully have on the doorstep.

“Nothing is ever a done deal until it’s a done deal, obviously, but we know we have key areas we want to address in our squad, both now and in the future.

“Our entire football operations staff have a great grasp on that and I’ve encouraged them to be as aggressive as possible.”

Now, it appears the club will act quickly and continue working on four new deals, according to the Mirror.

After missing out on Crystal Palace star Wilfred Zaha, the club has identified Gremio winger Everton.

Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney is also a top target for the Gunners, though Neil Lennon denied the club had met the Scottish champions’ valuation of the youngster.

Arsenal are engaged in a battle with north London rivals Tottenham for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, while they are also keen on a new centre-back with Laurent Koscielny set to leave.

The club captain looks primed to walk away from the Emirates after refusing to participate in the club’s pre-season tour of America, with three French clubs reportedly interested.

The 33-year-old has been at the club since 2010, but is apparently hell-bent on leaving this summer, amid reports of a £10m bid from Rennes.

Emery confirmed on Monday night that he had spoken to the defender three times in an attempt to convince him to stay, but was waiting for his decision.
