World War 3 WARNING: North Korea threat ‘NOT acceptable' and WILL be stopped – UN

North Korea has repeatedly threatened to use nuclear weapons to destroy the United States but former UN general Ban Ki-Moon warned that it “will never be tolerated”. 

In a chilling warning, Mr Ban said the hermit nation’s threat of war marks a “critical time” for the world.

He said that Japan, China and South Korea need to “exercise maximum pressure” so that North Korea realise they are not able to “go against the will of four international communities”. 

Mr Ban told CNBC: “This is the worst security situation since the end of the Korean war.”

Donald Trump is due to visit Japan, South Korea and China next week in a bid to highlight his campaign and put pressure on North Korea to give up its nuclear and missile programmes. 

Mr Ban called for unity between the four nations and said: “I appreciate President Trump’s initiative to visit Korea, Japan and China at this time, very critical time. I sincerely hope the leaders of three, four countries will come out with the common strategy. 

“And sending resolute and unified and determined and very strong message that such North Korean defiant behaviour, breaking all norms of international community will never be tolerated. 

“This is not acceptable.”

Trump could enter North Korea in a direct provocation to Kim Jong-un if he visits the DMZ during his trip to Seoul next month.

Following the announcement of Donald Trump’s visit, the state’s propaganda group KCNA warned his visit will mean war. 

North Korea has not engaged in any missile or nuclear provocations since mid-September.

CIA chief Mike Pompeo said last week that North Korea could be only months away from gaining the ability to hit the United States with nuclear weapons.
