WWE news: Chris Jericho reveals another outrageous new look in wrestling return
Jericho competed for New Japan Pro-Wrestling once more and beat Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship in Osaka, Japan.
The six-time world champion ignited a feud with Naito last month at the Wrestling Dontaku event in Fukuoka where he launched a savage attack on the former champion.
The ex-WWE Champion wore white face paint, as well as dark eyeshadow and his lips were painted black but decided to go for a wilder look last Saturday.
Y2J donned, a dark hat, his signature scarves as well as new war paint and drew crosses on his eyes for his title match.
Fans thought he looked like a character from Stanley Kubrick’s film A Clockwork Orange and he seemed to confirm that that was the source of his inspiration.
Jericho shared a picture of his new appearance on Instagram and captioned it with “#ClockworkJericho…”
That was the former World Heavyweight Champion’s second match in Japan ever since returning to NJPW as he also had an epic Wrestle Kingdom 12 No Disqualification Match for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship against Kenny Omega.
The nine-time Intercontinental Champion’s last WWE bout took place in April where he competed at the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia.
Jericho entered last in the first ever 50-man over-the-top-rope battle royal but was quickly eliminated by eventual winner Braun Strowman.
