xXx 4: Vin Diesel's Return of Xander Cage sequel CONFIRMED – Will Deepika Padukone return?

The 50-year-old action star debuted xXx in 2002, introducing movie fans to an extreme sports enthusiast turned secret agent.

However Diesel didn’t return for the sequel in 2005, but saw his character killed off while Ice Cube took the role in xXx: State of the Union.

Nevertheless last year he made a big come back in xXx: Return of Xander Cage, a film that was a huge hit in China.

And now, after the trilogy has grossed almost $1 billion worldwide, Diesel is back for xXx 4.

According to Variety, Diesel’s One Race Films and The H Collective have bought the rights to the xXx franchise from Revolution Studios.

Most excitingly for fans: xXx 4 is set to start shooting in December this year.

And xXx: Return of Xander Cage director DJ Caruso returns to helm the fourth film, with Diesel retains a producer credit.

The H Collective’s CEO Nic Crawley said: “During my time at Paramount I was lucky to be involved in the development and distribution of xXx: Return of Xander Cage.”
