Star Wars 9: Is THIS how Carrie Fisher’s final scene as Leia can see a Kylo Ren reunion?

The actress may have sadly died over Christmas 2016, but Fisher will appear in Star Wars Episode IX.

Lucasfilm made the announcement over the summer before JJ Abrams began shooting The Last Jedi sequel.

A statement from the studio read: “The role of Leia Organa will once again be played by Carrie Fisher, using previously unreleased footage shot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

Abrams added: “We desperately loved Carrie Fisher. Finding a truly satisfying conclusion to the Skywalker saga without her eluded us. We were never going to recast, or use a CG character.”

He added: “With the support and blessing from her daughter, Billie, we have found a way to honour Carrie’s legacy and role as Leia in Episode IX by using unseen footage we shot together in Episode VII.”

Now Star Wars theorist Mike Zeroh claims to have some extra details on Fisher’s final scenes as Leia through alleged insiders.

In a new video he said: “Apparently JJ and co will treat Leia’s final scene with great care.

“It’s going to be a very emotional scene and will serve as a way of honouring Carrie Fisher.”

He continued: “Rotoscoping techniques will be used for the final scene, to insert Leia in a new environment

“And apparently John Williams is [in] talks [to] compose a dedicated track to the departure of Leia.

“Maybe she will actually have another reunion with Luke Skywalker…that to me would be very fitting.

“Maybe a reunion between her and her son Kylo Ren, maybe he does end up turning to the light side of the Force and becomes Ben Solo once again, reuniting with his mother.”

Zeroh added: “That to me would be a heartwarming moment and a great way to essentially send off Leia into the sunset.”

Before her death Fisher was to be the most prominent original trilogy character in Episode IX, just as Han Solo was in The Force Awakens and Luke Skywalker in The Last Jedi.

Nevertheless Billy Dee Williams, who plays Lando Calrissian, will be back as his character for the first time in a Star Wars movies since 1983’s Return of the Jedi.

Star Wars Episode IX will be released in UK cinemas on December 19, 2019.
