Princess Madeleine of Sweden dazzles in New York: Who is the gorgeous Swedish royal?

Princess Madeleine of Sweden attended a New York gala yesterday.

The beautiful royal gave a speech at the Childhood ThankYou gala which was held at Cipriani Downtown restaurant.

The princess wore an elegant floral pink and black dress to the charity event which was also attended by Queen Silvia of Sweden, 74.

Her Royal Highness is a co-founder of the charity which works to free all children around the world from violence, sexual abuse and exploitation.

The World Childhood Foundation was founded in 1999 by her mother – Queen Silvia, who is married to King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, 72.

Princess Madeleine, the Duchess of Hälsingland and Gästrikland, is the couple’s second child and youngest daughter.

She is currently seventh in the line of succession, behind her elder siblings Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Carl Philip of Sweden and their children.

The stylish 36-year-old royal married London born financier Christopher O’Neil in 2013.

The couple have three children together – Princess Leonore, four, Prince Nicolas, three, and Princess Adrienne who was born in March this year.

In August the Swedish Royal Family announced the Princess and her family would be moving to Florida in the United States while the children were still in pre-school.

In America she can continue her work with the World Childhood Foundation.
