Kate Middleton shows thrifty side as she rewears lilac dress for Mental Health Summit

Kate Middleton, 36, stunned in the simple lilac Emilia Wickstead dress as she entered the summit with her husband Prince William, 36.

The mum-of-three defied the autumn weather in the summery dress, which came down past her knees and had full length sleeves.

Nipped in at the waist, the item showed off Kate’s trim figure, with the A Line skirt skimming her hips.

She paired the dress with a pair of nude court shoes and the structured leather Mayfair handbag, £695 from Aspinal.

Kate last wore the Emilia Wickstead number in 2017 for a royal tour of Germany with her family.

Both times, she wore her hair in loose, tumbling curls over her shoulders.

Today, the Duchess kept her makeup simple, opting for heavy mascara and nude lipstick.

Adding a luxury touch to her outfit, the Duchess wore the Empress diamond necklace and earrings set from Mappin & Webb, which is currently on sale for £3500.

William and Kate are not the only well-known faces at the Summit today. Political figures, experts and policy makers are due at the event in London to discuss issues such as how to deal with the stigma attached to mental health.

Another policy up for discussion is a declaration committing to putting mental health on an equal footing with physical health.

William and Kate have long been involved in mental health initiatives through their Heads Together campaign.

The summit is being held at London’s County Hall on the South Bank.

Ahead of the summit, the Department of Health and Social Care began a social media campaign using the hash tag #TheWorldNeeds to ask people what we need to change in the way we treat and perceive mental health.

Kate only returned to royal duties last week after taking maternity leave for the birth of the couple’s third child Prince Louis in April.

Kate visited a school which gives inner city children the chance to learn and interact with the natural world.

The Duchess kept her look casual with a green jumper over a printed shirt and wore a matching light jacket.

She teamed the practical look with slim-fitting trousers and knee-high boots.

While this was her first official outing, Kate has been seen a number of times since the birth of Prince Louis.

The wife of Prince William, 36, was pictured at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in May at Windsor Castle and the Christening of Prince Louis at the Chapel Royal in July.
